Local No Kill Shelter PAWS Celebrates 40 Years

PAWS 40th Anniversary celebration and auction Sunday February 17, 2013

Come celebrate 40 years of saving animals and providing a no kill shelter!

PAWS celebrates 40 years of helping homeless, abused and abandoned animals with our 40th Anniversary Celebration, Sunday February 17, 2013 2pm-5pm. Join us at the Royal CanadianLegion – Branch 617, 937  Warden Avenue, Toronto for an afternoon of refreshments, charity auction, door prizes, face painting with volunteers, sponsors, adopters, and donators who make this life saving organization possible! Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door, call 647.210.5110 for ticket arrangements.

PAWS is a registered charity and we proudly enforce a strict no-kill policy, while providing a unique free-roam shelter where homeless, abandoned and abused animals are given safe haven, indefinitely. PAWS rescues animals from high-kill shelters that are deemed unadoptable due to colour (black cats are often first destroyed), special needs, seniors, abandoned, pregnant, ill, and those who appear to have aggression issues (but who are simply misunderstood and terrified).

PAWS will never consider any animal ‘unadoptable’ and we DO NOT give up on those with special needs. We have countless success stories of rescues, adoptions and human hearts being touched by the no kill success our volunteers have accomplished. As a registered charity we receive no government funding but rely solely on donations from individuals and organizations. Please help us to continue our top-notch rescue efforts. For more information about PAWS please see our website or call 416.520.7995.
