Online Auction Helping "Friendly Giants Dog Rescue" Has Begun.....Come Check Out The Great Items & Support Rescue!

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and in the spirit of love, Friendly Giants Dog Rescue is holding an on-line facebook auction to celebrate love, life and to support the dogs! FGDR is facing considerable vet costs for dogs recently entered into our care and fundraising events like this one help to ensure we can keep saving as many as possible.

Starting Saturday, January 26 and running for two weeks (ending February 9), individuals can bid on products and services that are a wide ranging as the dogs we love and rescue from massage treatments to products for dogs to tasty desserts.

“Adopting a rescued animal is a big commitment. These dogs have already been through so much in their short lives. They deserve loving, comfortable, forever homes. We are only able to succeed in this thanks to never ending support from volunteers, foster homes and the community at large.” said Kim Knapp, Executive Director and Founder of Friendly Giants Dog Rescue. “Once again, our community comes through with some amazing items for the auction.”

We are very fortunate to have some amazing organizations and people step forward to donate amazing items to be included in the auction.

About Friendly Giants Dog Rescue :

Friendly Giants DogRescue is a non-profit group in Ottawa and Sarnia Ontario, that seeks to provide a safe haven for large and giant breeds and to find loving adoptive forever homes for dogs in pounds and shelters that would otherwise be euthanized. All of our rescues are placed in foster homes and get to receive a lot of one-on-one attention and love to help them get over whatever bad experiences they may have had, to help them gain confidence, and to understand that not all humans are cruel. All a rescue dog looks for is a warm place to sleep, food in their bellies, and a kind loving family to shower them with attention. There is nothing more rewarding than looking a rescue dog in the eyes and seeing how much they appreciate a kind face, warm heart and the unconditional love they give back, no matter what circumstances they have come from.
