Bikers & Bully's Without Borders Is Coming - Looks Like It Will Be An Awesome Event!

Recently I interviewed Zelda Nista, one of the creators of "Bikers & Bully's Without Borders", an international bicycle and motorcycle relay that will culminate on September 2nd at Nathan Phillips Square. Starting in Florida, riders will take to their bikes to raise awareness on the need to repeal Breed Specicific Legislation (BSL) across Canada and the United States.

What exactly is "Bikers & Bully's Without Borders", and where did the idea originate?

Bikers & Bully's Without Borders is a Rescue & BSL Awareness Fundraising event. The idea came from myself & Jodi Preis creator of Pit Bull Awareness Day wanting to show unity between US & Canada through a Rescue/BSL Awareness event.

What is the primary goal of the event?

The goal of our event is raise awareness and offer fundraising for rescue & responsible ownership groups who participate with pledges from bike riders or individuals.

How can those who are interested in either riding or volunteering get involved?

The best way to contact us if interested in riding or volunteering is through either our FB event page or the Southern Ontario Animal Rescue (SOAR) website www.soardogrescue.ca/newsandevents.php.

How can one pledge for the event, and where will the money be going?

If one wishes to donate. Pledge forms can be downloaded from http://www.soardogrescue.ca/newsandevents.php. Donations will be going to SOAR.

The event at Nathan Phillips Square (the final stop of the trek) seems to be shaping up quite well. What can people expect for the September 2 celebration?

The Sept.2nd Celebration Event At Nathan Phillips Square will be hosted by Southern Ontario Animal Rescue (SOAR). Our event starts at 11am. with on stage Host~The Canadian Wolfman. The day opens with Grand Parade/Walk starting at Nathan Phillips Sq., hosted by Toronto Pit Bull Co-Op at 12.30pm sharp. Leading into a full day on stage band line up with Dust & Bones (Guns' Roses tribute band) & many more! Doggie Fashionista Fashion Show, Spider man photo booth, info & education booths, doggie pools, meet Toronto Zombie Walk 2012 creatures & more! It will make for a fun filled family day!

Thanks so much to Zelda for the info, and for having great initiative in helping create this event. I'll be going to the celebration event to support this cause & to get some great pics of the riders & their faithful doggies. I hope to see many of you there!
