New Doggy Training And Walking Business Opens In The Queen East Community

Discover Your Dog's True Potential With KatyK9: Your Dog's Other Best Friend!

The Queen East communities of Riverdale, Leslieville and The Beach have a new champion for dog lovers who is ready to improve their lives, one tail wag at a time. Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Katie Reid, owner of KatyK9, offers dog owners a positive approach to long-term fulfillment with their furry companions using the principles of praise, play and consistency.

Studying under renowned dog trainer Ben Kersen at Canada's most intensive, hands-on, accredited professional dog trainers program, Katie helps her clients better understand their four-legged friends; setting them up for success through positive engagement, confidence building and focused technique.

“It's an amazing feeling being able to turn a frustrated dog owner into a proud dog owner,” Katie says. “With some guidance and consistency, my clients really change their relationship with their dogs and they both have a happier life because of it!”

KatyK9, who is also certified in DOGSAFE Canine First Aid, offers private training, group classes, dog walking and sitting services, and problem behaviour resolution for young pups and older pooches, too.

“A dog's ability to learn and adapt is really quite impressive,” says Katie. “If we demonstrate what we want from them and set that expectation every time, they really do rise to the occasion and take great pride in doing so. All they often need is a push in the right direction.”

Dog and owner can sign up now for Basic Obedience Training Classes with KatyK9 starting October 12, 2011 at Jimmie Simpson Recreation Centre in Leslieville. For more information, please visit www.katyk9.ca or call Katie at 647.465.KTK9 (5859).
