This event brings together the best of the best to compete,” said Mary Siemiesz, Executive Director of the Purina PetCare Legacy. “We know that life is richer with pets and The Purina National also celebrates our canine relationships, providing an opportunity for families, young and old to see, meet and learn about dog breeds and what is required to responsibly take care of them.”

The Purina National – A Show for Everyone
With over 70,000 square feet of activities, there is something for everyone at The Purina National.  This year, attendees can visit the new 15,000 sq. ft family-friendly PawsWay® Neighbourhood and celebrate their love of dogs. During this three-day event, attendees can watch as the top purebreds are awarded Best in Breed, Best Puppy in Show, and Best in Show.  And Canadians considering a canine will have the opportunity to meet purebreds and their breeders in Breeder’s Village. Show guests can also pick up the latest doggie gear and toys in Vendors’ Alley and get a behind-the-scenes look at the beauty regimes of purebred show dogs. Have an unanswered doggie dilemma? Q & A sessions with reputable experts will also be held throughout the weekend.
There is no species on earth more diverse than the canine – making it possible for every person to find a dog that’s just right for them. For Canadians thinking of purchasing a purebred puppy, or for dog lovers in general, The Purina National has something for everyone.

Find the Best Breed Match: See every breed imaginable, making it easy to find one that fits any lifestyle. As each breed is unique, meet and speak to breeders to learn all about the history and specifics of particular purebreds.

Breeders Love Their Breeds: Getting a puppy from a breeder offers new owners a mentor who can offer advice and information about the dog that your family brings home. Breeders pride themselves on developing generations of dogs with the same look, temperament and traits – they know their breeds inside and out!

The Purina National celebrates the relationship between dogs and the people who love them, and offers an experience to remember for every Canadian. If you don’t have a favourite breed before the show, you will when you leave.  We hope to see you there!
