Toronto Veterinarian Dr. Erin Spence recently opened the doors to a new animal hospital in Etobicoke by the name of Islington Village Animal Hospital. She first decided to open an animal hospital in Toronto after working as an associate for a large and busy practice in North York. In 2002, Dr. Spence began practicing as a Toronto veterinarian and became personally skilled at performing most veterinary procedures herself. In 2010, Dr. Spence and the rest of her staff opened the doors to Islington Village Animal Hospital which offers a comprehensive range of veterinary services in addition to primary pet care, including cardiology, dentistry, dermatology, internal medicine, neurology, pain management, pharmacy, radiology and surgery. The animal clinic is open six days a week and can handle emergency vet visits during all open hours. The animal clinic in Toronto also provides boarding for cats and dogs that weigh less than 40 lbs, as well as small exotic pets. Regarding her new animal hospital in Toronto, Dr. Erin Spence says, “When I opened Islington Village Animal Hospital, I wanted to make sure we provided a comprehensive range of veterinary services. That's why we're proud to announce that our animal hospital offers a full range of services for most small pets including dogs, cats, and small exotics. We also offer house-calls for our pet patients who aren't comfortable in the veterinary setting or for pet owners who have a hard time making it to the animal hospital.”

Alongside the opening of her animal clinic, Dr. Spence has also released a new, interactive website at http://IVAHvet.com to help patients gain easy access to information about the practice and educate them on pet health and care. Detailed contact information for Islington Village Animal Hospital is provided on the website to make it easy for the visitor to contact the office and get directions. There is a plethora of information on the website about the animal clinic itself along with information about a variety of veterinary topics. Dr. Spence's Toronto Veterinary Blog educates pet owners about current pet health issues and news. Visitors to the website can also read about and see pictures of the entire staff and well as go on a virtual tour where they can view pictures of the facilities. The Pet Selector feature on the website takes the visitor through a series of questions and helps them determine what species of cat or dog is right for them. There is also an online request appointment feature which can be used to request veterinary appointments online from the convenience of home. Visitors can easily rate their experience with the hospital through a variety of services and see what other people are saying about Islington Village Animal Hospital.
