Dognapping Suspects Caught On Tape

Police in York Region are seeking the public’s help in finding a diabetic Pomeranian/Yorkie mix whose dognapping from a car in Vaughan last month was captured on video.
The video released Tuesday shows the suspects who police believe took “Honey” from a car parked at Dooley’s Billiards, on Jane St. and Langstaff Rd., on Aug. 13 at around 5:30 p.m.
Police said the dog has a diabetic condition that requires daily medication.
The five suspects are described as 18-25 years old with medium-coloured skin. All had dark-coloured hair and were wearing casual clothing, including jeans, T-shirts and running shoes.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, leave an anonymous tip on-line at or text message “TIPYORK + your message” to CRIMES (274637) . If the information you provide helps solve the case, you may be eligible for cash reward of up to $2,000.
